Member Benefits
Q. What does Channel 2 membership include?
A. See the Membership and Member Benefits page to view this information.
Q. Is my contribution tax deductible?
A. Yes! Contributions to Channel 2 are tax deductible to the full extent of the law, deducting the fair market value of any "Thank You" gifts received.
Q. Can I give a Channel 2 membership as a gift to someone else?
A. Yes! You can donate to Channel 2 in order to give a gift membership for a family member or a friend. For more information regarding Channel 2 gift memberships, simply contact our Member Services Department at 800-222-9728, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Q. Can I have more than one "Thank-You" gift for my donation?
A. Yes! Select up to five per donation. Each "Thank You" gift is tied to a specific donation amount. When you finish browsing and are ready to send your donation, the donation amount for each thank-you gift will be summed for your total donation amount. You may also edit your selections at this point to add or subtract gifts. For technical reasons, we can only allow five thank you gifts per online donation, but you are welcome to donate again!
Q. How long does it take to receive my membership "Thank You" gift?
A. If the gift is in stock we will deliver it in 7-10 business days. If it is not in stock it will be shipped as soon as we receive it. If it has been longer than this, please contact us at membership@mychannel2.org call us at 800-222-9728.
Renewing Membership
Q. I just sent you my membership renewal check. Why did I receive another renewal letter?
A. To save money for the quality programming you expect from Channel 2, we print and mail renewal notices in bulk. This means that it takes several weeks for a renewal letter to get to you. As a result, your renewal gift and our letter probably crossed in the mail.
Q. I still have three months left on my membership. Why are you sending me a renewal notice now?
A. Because it's so important that we retain our members, we start sending out renewal notices in advance of your membership's expiration. If you renew early, you'll still get a full year's membership, and your membership will be extended for a full 12 months from your current expiration date.
Q. I forgot the expiration date of my membership! How do I find it?
A. Your Channel 2's membership's expiration date can be found on your MemberCard, by contacting us at 800-222-9728 or by logging into your MyChannel2 profile. Not sure what a MyChannel2 profile is? Click here to find out!
Viewing & Schedules
Q. How can I find out what programs are scheduled to air on Channel 2 and when?

Q. How can I watch Digital 2, Channel 2's high-definition channel?
A. If you own a digital television set, you can use your electronic program guide to locate Digital 2's over the air broadcast (Channel 2-1). A standard-definition simulcast of Channel 2 is available on Channel 2-2. If you are a Comcast Digital Cable customer subscribing to their HDTV service, and you own an HDTV-ready set, you can watch Digital 2 using your Comcast Digital set-top box. Q. How do I buy the DVD for a program I saw on Channel 2?
A. You have a number of options. You can check Channel2.org. You may also contact our Member Services department at Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for further information regarding video availability.
Pledge Drives
Q. When are Channel 2's pledge drives?
A. WPBT Channel 2 hosts its quarterly pledge drives in March, June, August, and December.

Q. Is there parking?
A. Free parking is available in the Channel 2 parking lot.
Volunteering
Q. If my organization is volunteering, how many people can we bring?
A. The Channel 2 studio holds a maximum of 10 volunteers. Groups may range in size from 6-10. We ask group coordinators to guarantee a minimum of 6 people per group.
Q. Can high school groups volunteer?
A. High school group participation is welcomed. All students must be in ninth grade or higher. Student groups must have a chaperone. Students can earn Bright Futures/Community Service hours for the time they volunteer. Previous groups have included National Honor societies, broadcasting classes, journalism classes, and senior class groups.
Q. Is there a dress code when volunteering?
A. Business casual dress is preferred. Shirts with company or group logos are acceptable, but please avoid white or tiny patterns. Please do not wear anything bearing endorsement for a controversial issue or political candidate. For groups, company shirts are welcome, but please avoid group hats. It can get chilly in the studio, so we recommend bringing a sweater or jacket.
Q. If my organization is volunteering, will we be recognized?
A. Yes. Groups will receive on-air mentions during every break. Unfortunately, we cannot display company/group banners on the set.
Q. When is the volunteer schedule updated?
A. Our pledge schedule is updated with specific dates approximately two weeks prior to each drive. You may pre-register and you will be notified of any shift availability.
Q. After selecting shifts, when do I receive a confirmation?
A. Channel 2 receives many volunteer requests from individuals and groups alike. We schedule volunteers on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on group size and special needs. We make every effort to update our posted schedule and assign shifts that are most appropriate for each request. Confirmations and follow-up usually occur two weeks in advance of each drive.
Q. Can we tour the studios?
A. Channel 2 will endeavor to have a tour guide available during all pledge shifts. Tours can be taken in between pledge breaks. However, if a pledge shift is extremely busy, this feature is not always possible.
